BNC Ministries Faith Statement
Adopted on October 10th 2024
BNC Ministries holds firmly to the doctrines of the Holy Scriptures, guided by the truths of the King James Bible. Our faith is rooted in the eternal and unchanging Word of God, and we seek to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming His Gospel to all the world. Below is a detailed statement of our faith, with each point supported by the Scriptures.B
1. Bible: God’s Infallible Word
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2nd Timothy 3:16-17: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Psalm 119:160: “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”
2. The Holy Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, working together in perfect unity.
1 John 5:7: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
Matthew 28:19: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
3. God the Father
We believe that God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. He loves mankind and desires for all to come to repentance.
Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.”
Genesis 1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
4. Jesus Christ: The Son of God
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God interceding for believers.
John 1:1, 14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.”
1 Peter 2:24: “Who His own self bares our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness.”
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He indwells, seals, sanctifies, and empowers believers for godly living and service.
John 16:13: “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth.”
Ephesians 1:13: “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.”
6.Salvation: By Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. No human effort or works can earn salvation. True salvation results in a transformed life, and believers are called to live holy and godly lives.
Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
7. The Church: Christ’s Body
We believe that the local church is a congregation of baptized believers, united for the purpose of worship, fellowship, teaching, and spreading the Gospel. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, and we are called to make disciples of all nations.
Matthew 16:18: “And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Ephesians 5:23: “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.”
8. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe that baptism by immersion is a public testimony of a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, open to all born-again believers.
Matthew 28:19: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-25: “This do in remembrance of me.”
9. The Return of Christ
We believe in the literal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rapture His Church and to establish His kingdom. We also believe in the final judgment, where unbelievers will be cast into eternal punishment, and believers will enter eternal life with God.
The rapture and second coming are similar but separate events. Both involve Jesus returning. Both are end-times events:
- The rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth before the time of God’s wrath, known as the Great Tribulation. (1 Thessalonians 4;13-18)
- The second coming is the return of Christ to the earth to bring the Great Tribulation to an end and to defeat the Antichrist and his evil world empire. Christ will establish His 1000-year Kingdom to reign on earth. (Revelation 19;11-16)
1Thessalonians 4:16-17: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Revelation 20:12-15: “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God… and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
10. Eternal Security of the Believer
We believe that once a person is truly born again, they are sealed by the Holy Spirit and cannot lose their salvation. Believers are secure in Christ and will be kept by God’s power until the day of redemption.
John 10:28-29: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
11. Heaven and Hell
We believe in the reality of heaven and hell. Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of believers, where they will enjoy everlasting fellowship with God. Hell is the place of eternal punishment for the unsaved, separated from God’s presence.
John 14:2-3: “In my Father’s house are many mansions… I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Revelation 20:15: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
12.The Great Commission
We believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to share the Gospel and make disciples. Jesus Christ commands us to spread His Word throughout the world, baptizing and teaching others to follow Him.
Matthew 28:19-20: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them… Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
Acts 1:8: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me.”
At BNC Ministries, we are committed to living out these truths in every aspect of our ministry, teaching, and daily walk with Christ. We invite you to join us as we strive to fulfill the Great Commission and serve our Lord with all our hearts.
